PILOT

    You think it would be easy, adulting. It's a mix of crippling debt, hormonal outbursts, and spending your last twenty dollars on dog food. I'm Kellie, and although I am twenty-seven, I haven't quite figured it out yet. You know, the whole life thing. 

    Now, I have never been your go to money expertise. I have it! So, let's spend it. Dinner out? I got it. Spontaneous trip to Toronto? Let me break open my piggy bank and scrape together the remaining bits of loose change. I was once so desperate to start saving that I deliberately took my plastic water bottles home from work so I could exchange them for ten cents each. Yep, you guessed it! By the end of the year I saved up a whopping $36.50. Not to brag or anything. 

    I've always thought I could beat the system. I remember, quite recently actually, that Shoppers drug mart was having a 20x the points sale. I thought I was a genius for thinking to buy something like a Nintendo Switch lite to get the eighty thousand optimum points and sell it online. I ended up selling it online for twenty less dollars than it was bought for. Add in the tax and boom, fifty dollars in optimum points were mine. Not a bad idea, but I ended up spending $30.00 of my own money for fake store points. It would be great if I needed to shop there, but my mind was set on seeing my bank account grow. Not my optimum points. 

    Each day I wake up, have a shower, cry, and make my morning coffee. You'd be surprised how much my body relies on that heavenly morning cup of joe. You'd think as an adult I wouldn't break down so much. I'll tell you one thing, if you're like me and bleed out of your vagina once a month; we're allowed to have mental breakdowns frequently. For all the men reading this, if you're frightened because bleeding and vagina are used in the same sentence, you're not doing so hot in the adulting department either. 

    "Hey friends, I've decided to make a new blog!"

    "That's amazing! What is it going to be about?"

    "Shut your mouth, Karen. Nobody fucking asked you."

    For those of you who are new to following along with my blog, I used to own a gossip blog prior to this one. I was aspiring to be like Carrie Bradshaw from Sex and The City.  Regardless, this blog will be about me, myself, and I! Cooking, traveling, photography, what i use in my hair, etc. Anything and everything I am interested in. Sometimes I will be funny, sometimes I will be serious, but all the time I will be truthful. So, get ready 2021 because Kellie is finally, finally back!
